E-lert is a remote tank monitoring system which automatically records the level of propane in your tank. This data is then transmitted to the Blue Star Gas data center. E-lert represents a major advancement in customer service and will provide our customers with the security of knowing they won’t run out of gas.

Q: Will I be charged to have E-lert installed on my tank?
A: No. As one of our valued customers, Blue Star Gas has chosen you to be
the recipient of the E-lert system at no charge.
Q: Do I get charged for any calls E-lert makes?
A: No. The phone numbers programmed into E-lert are toll-free phone numbers.
An example would be 1-800-123-4567.
Q: How difficult is it to install the E-lert Gateway module in my home?
A: Simple. Its as easy as installing an answering machine.
Q: How do I benefit from E-lert?
A: You will benefit in many ways, including the following:
• Not running out of fuel. By monitoring your fuel tank daily, Blue
Star Gas knows how much fuel is in your tank.
• Unusual usage alerts. An unusual usage alert can indicate a potential
equipment or usage problem.
• Fewer visits by Blue Star Gas delivery trucks. Blue Star Gas will
be able to schedule deliveries more efficiently.
Q: Does E-lert occupy the phone line?
A: No. E-lert will report fuel level and temperature readings to the Blue
Star Gas data center between 12AM and 7 AM in the morning.
Q: How does E-lert work?
A: E-lert is strapped to the propane tank and is connected to the gauge that
is mounted under the tanks lid.
• E-lert displays tank level, outside temperature and time.
• E-lert communicates wirelessly to the reporting module installed in
the home or business.
• E-lert is powered by a solar cell / capacitor / rechargeable battery.
